thank you all for playing and sharing <3
that was hard
the doors I had to skip bother me!
i think these having endings compels one to finish them, maybe
hello I find it very funny that the spikes only throw you back, never forward
challenge ! i found the end of magic door. i always wanted to be in magic door. i wonder if i got a kiss when i was in magic door -quasiotter
writing a callout post on magic door on my twitter dot com. magic door is over. its over for magic door. well never see you again,
it's good... i like it -j
also i didn't realize that i could press the down button 13 minutes into trying to get past the third(??) to last door - j
Keep your secrets, almost-impossible magic doors. Very whimsical. Intricate movement that was challenging but cheesable. I don't know what I learned here. @GreytideSkye
ok I learned the lesson. magic doors are lore nuggets, small words that catch just enough attention. Like most of your experiences! These "rewards" trivialize the experience by giving a "reward" for doing something, instead of the experience itself being intrinsically fulfilling. I should want to be able to prove I can get to that tiny nook in Old Man Who Could Jump Better But Can't Do That Now 64, not out of expectation that some poignant little blurb will pop up, but because I'm defying the narrative and doing Old Man Jumps better than he's expected to. ... But ok, those blurbs are proof that you intended someone to be able to reach that spot, and you Droqen have made the active choice to acknowledge players who have reached that spot. That _you're_ clever for realizing that your systems allowed them to get somewhere that looks unintended. So then, are the blurbs my reward, or yours? Either way, this is certifiable Gameplay. I like the jumps. @GreytideSkye
a very sylvieish droqever.. i kept trying to make the hard jump by timing the double jump, but i think you can't. so good job tricking me. —@jseakle
i enjoyed. very bouncy! did not realize about the roll/dash? no i think it's a roll, until i went in a door that ended in x. kind of makes me wonder what are in the doors i can't reach. i liked the little poem at the beginning to the left (i habitually go left to start with). kind of spooky, in a soft way. ~~~~
i'm sad about the feeling of ending i get from all these. but i feel they wouldn't exist without wanting to explore that feeling of ending, so at the same time, i'm glad they exist. - mando
Thanks for making these! I like them and they have given me interesting things to think about. - Joas
at first i thought u couldn't make it passed the first jump. then i didn't know what magic i did to keep going.
fun platform mechanics a warning / fear of curiosity?
I love how my idiot jester bumbles.
as a wizened gamer, i did not particularly enjoy the feeling of being punished for getting to the very last door. but happy i beat it.
On to the end of gameplay Isuru
The door got me.
argh
I figured out I could fly before I figured out how to walk through a door.
james - i wonder what's in the doors i can't open? :D
beautiful experience <3 also the double jump idea is great!
but what if i like it? but why do i like it?
i have nothing to say... im trapped in the magic door...
it sure is dark in here! -???
a wall appeared that was too tall to jump, and had pink spikes at the bottom. i went through the magic door which said "the end of magic door" but i don't believe a word - Jim
I think most of the droqevers i've experienced tend to go over my head, but this one really resonated with me, especially the spiky door behind every door another door -d
I went through a couple doors. I liked the double jump and the roll was nice too. -Spencer
